In 2012 the Bookeye I SW was replaced by a modern Bookeye 4 A2 scanner. Now you can quickly and easily create digital copies in color, grayscale or b/w up to a size of DIN-A2.
The data is stored on a USB stick or network. You can choose the PDF or JPG format for file output. The new scanner is operated intuitively via a touch screen and is equipped with a book-preserving rocker switch.
Finally, please note: Please also consider the applicable copyright law when scanning and digitizing.
The Parliamentary Library
The Parliamentary Library – founded in 1869 – is Austria’s largest research and information centre for democracy, parliamentarianism, politics and law. The collection comprises more than 350,000 books, around 270 current periodicals and newspapers and numerous online databases. The Parliamentary Library is basically a reference library. Loans to external users are not possible. Copiers, scanners and PC workstations with Internet access are available. The historical reading room, designed according to the designs of Theophil Hansen, is architecturally impressive and can also be visited during guided tours.
